Fownes Hotel - Worcester

The beds are exceptionally comfortable to sleep on.

Nothing too much trouble, the venue met expectations, would recomand it. We enjoyed staff and rooms, felt like home.

Make sure to register with Parking Eye upon check-in to avoid hefty fines for parking.

Its staff and rooms were fab, and for us everything was good. The rooms were tasteful equipped with a large comfortable bed, seriously good hot water, for example. The location was fab, only 5 minutes walk to National Trust. Could use their free parking.

Very central location was a plus.

Not the best experience

I popped in for a room and it felt kinda chaotic. No one was acknowledging me while I stood there in my mask, super awkward! I later found out they're housing people there, which explains why the vibe was off. The coffee in the lobby was decent, but the overall cleanliness could use some work.

seeing Worcester as a whole, very impressed with the town. visited the Royal Worcester Museum, The Commandary, The Cathedral. and walked along the river. all within easy reach from the Hotel,

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly all the time.

Staff were responsive to requests (a request for new pillows resulted in satisfaction), and the room was clean, quiet and everything worked. Breakfasts were very good.

The hotel is looking a bit tired, and in need of a facelift.

Staff we dealt with were really friendly! Don't expect to spend any time here apart from sleeping as the bar was always empty with no athmosphere. A little soleless but walking distance to town.

Its position, only a short stroll to the city centre and cathedral. Large car park. Our room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom.

Charge of £3 to pay by credit card, no internet access. The hotel is a labyrith corridors and inter-conecting rooms making it very easy to get lost. Although there are fire exit signs the confusing layout could create panic in an emergency situation. The breakfast was poor: tinned fruit, cheap cereals, cut bread. All the floor boards creaked, every step produced a different noise.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement

The room comfort surprised us, with two spacious double beds that allowed for a good night's rest. Be mindful of the parking situation and noise from the streets. The local restaurant nearby provided good meals which were a nice touch!
